Hi. I’m Cindy the co-owner, and Assistant Trainer of Bauser’s Pet Training. I have learned to train dogs, hands on, with Christine over the past 8 years in obedience at all levels, back yard agility, Rally-Obedience, and Tricks. I have my PetTech CPR & First AID Certificate of completion. Cats are my first love and through that I have grown to love dogs just as well. Cats need enrichment just as much as our canine friends. Keep a look out for our Feline Training classes. I have learned a lot about animal learning theory and how to train dogs and cats using positive training methods. The training is based on positive reinforcement using Least Intrusive and Minimally Aversive (LIMA) style training in group and private sessions.
Dogs have simply, been one of the most important things in my life! I take it as a great responsibility to do everything I can to make sure that the animals have everything they need to thrive. I have worked in the pet care industry for over 20 years, and have gained tons of experience in that time; therefore, your pup will be in good hands, no matter what!
I have been working with dogs since I was 14 yrs old, and have functioned in almost every professional capacity as a pet caregiver! I started off volunteering at a vet clinic in Venezuela, and later with an Ethologist dog trainer, and quickly moved up the ladder from there. At the age of 20, when I finished my degree in advertising, I moved to Israel and studied to become a certified veterinarian technician. I worked in the field for several years. During my time there, I worked with many animals who had special needs and health conditions. I enjoy taking care of pups whom need a little extra TLC! When I moved to the United States, I opened my own company and also worked in a Pet hotel and daycare for the last 6 years. I have experience working with cats, horses, and exotic pets. I have volunteered for pet rescues in the past. Recently, I joined Bauser’s Pet Training team as an Apprentice Dog trainer with the goal of becoming a Professional Dog trainer. I am very much enjoying being a part of the team and working with the animals I love
I’ve always had a passion for animals as I would spend my Summers at my family‘s farm in Colombia. My passion really grew for dogs at a young age from being surrounded by them constantly. I learned through experience from having my own dogs and seeing them progress with basic obedience, tricks and advance commands. Soon after I started dog sitting and walking in the sunrise and plantation area for family and friends. Between 2018-2020 I would do my personal training sessions on the side working with clients one on one through positive reinforcement.
In 2020 I finally realize this was my passion and a career I wanted and made the jump to Petsmart working as an accredited dog trainer. There I gained a lot of knowledge about positive reinforcement training and the bond it helps build. I loved orchestrating group classes and private one on one lessons. I would conduct puppy, intermediate, advance, and CGC classes.I am excited to continue expanding my skills and knowledge and helping build long lasting relationships between dog owners and their dogs.
I graduated as a veterinarian in Argentina and after moving to the U.S. I became a full time mom for 20 years then I joined Bauser’s as an assistance dog trainer. My intent is to provide the love, care, and treatment every dog deserves while attaining the owner’s needs in their dogs discipline. Being around animals is truly my passion and a virtue to be alongside so many and hopefully yours too!
The most effective dog training occurs when I help bring awareness to pet owners. In this way, owners can partner with me to continue training when not in a class or group setting. I enjoy helping pet owners to understand what their dogs are really communicating to them. Welcoming all breeds, I begin my training by making sure the pet owner(s) understand and can mimic what I am doing. I am trained in different methodologies of dog training and find positive reinforcement training is the most fun and beneficial way to train your dog to become a well-behaved family member. When using the main styles of training: shaping, luring, catching, chaining, mimicking, and molding behaviors, I find dogs do learn and love to learn. All dogs want to do is please their owners. Happily teaching multiple levels of dog training, I also provide individual private lessons depending upon your dogs needs. I will assess your dog and determine whether group or private training will be most beneficial for you and your dog. My goal is for you to be happy, with a happy well-behaved dog!
