- What type of training do you provide
- There are many methodologies to training animals. We pride ourselves in using humane methods by using positive reinforcement as our foundation to training your pet. We are L.I.M.A. trainers which means: Least Intrusive Minimally Aversive.
- How much does the training cost
- Costs depend on the individual needs. We have researched the industry and find our costs to be very competitive. It is best to contact us directly to decipher your needs.
- Is there a guarantee
- The guarantee comes from you and how much homework you put into your pets training. When working with animals there are no guarantees. Please refer to the link that breaks down our policy.
- How long does it take to train a dog
- Each animal learns at their own pace because each one has their own personality. Typically one dog can learn multiple behaviors in one day, but in order to retain one behavior, it can take 3 - 6 months. Cats typically learn one behavior in 3 days.
- How many classes do you offer
- Our website explains all the classes we offer. We are always growing and continue to learn other ways to train our pets. Group classes are a 5 week course and are 1 hour each. Private classes can range from 1 hour to as many hours as you may need to accomplish your goals.
- Do you potty train
- Yes, but this is not the only training you need to own a well-behaved pet. We train your pets to use the bathroom in a designated location, i.e. outside, training pads, potty patches, etc…
- Do you work with aggressive dogs
- Working with aggressive animals takes special skills. We have worked with aggressive dogs on an individual basis depending on the level of aggression. You will need to call us for a free phone consultation so we can discuss the options.
- What type of dogs do you work with
- We work with all breeds at all ages. As well as handicap dogs.
- How old should a dog be to train
- Training starts immediately with puppies. I like to start at 10 weeks of age.
- Is my dog too old to train
- Your pet is not too old to train. They need mental stimulation as much as older humans do.
- Who are we affiliated with
- IACP (International Association of Canine Professionals), APDT (Association of Professional Dog Trainers, AKC - CGC (American Kennel Club - Canine Good Citizen), ABC College (Animal Behavior College), and CTDI (Certified Trick Dog Instructor).
- Do we train and evaluate for the CGC (Canine Good Citizen)
- We are AKC Trainers and Evaluators.
- Do we work with behavioral problems
- We work with all types of behaviors. You will need to contact us directly to discuss behavioral issues and set up a free phone consultation.
- Do you work with cats
- We love our furry felines just as much. Training a cat takes a lot of patience. Cats use litter boxes for going to the bathroom. Litter training is very easy and definitely something we work with.
- Behavioral issues with cats can be worked with on an individual basis.
- Cats need mental stimulation and direction on how to behave in our homes. We can also teach them tricks and show you how to exercise them.
- Ask us how we can create an outdoor environment within your home to help your cat’s needs.
- When do I pay
- Payments are due upfront before services are rendered.
- Boarding is due at time of pick up, unless it is a long term board. Long Term boarding requires 20% deposit.
- Boarding and Training Program requires a 20% deposit and then final payment upon picking up your pet.
- Payments can be received via: Credit Card, Check, Cash, PayPal, CashApp, or Venmo.
- What if I need to cancel
- Cancellation is required 24 hours in advance.
- There are no refunds for last minute cancellations. You will be charged the full hourly rate.
- Do you give refunds
- We do not offer refunds. It is your responsibility to review our agreement and our guarantee; however, we do believe in being fair. Any refunds offered are treated on an individual basis.
